Using Advanced Technology To Provide Advanced Dental Care

Digital X-rays

We utilize advanced digital X-ray technology to provide you with the safest and most convenient treatment options available. Digital X-rays provide advanced imaging options designed to save time, provide clearer dental photos and expose patients to less radiation than traditional X-ray technology.

CAD/CAM

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) allow us to create customized fittings of crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays and other dental restorations. Using CAD/CAM, our dentists can create durable, well-fitting restorations often in a single visit! Imagine, in just one visit, you can have a beautiful, healthy smile.

Laser Dentistry

Using laser dentistry, we can deliver a precise treatment that is more comfortable, quicker and provides more stunning results. Many laser treatments do not require anesthesia, and the recovery time is much quicker with less chance of bacterial infection because laser treatments are so precise.

At Dahlgren Dental, we specialize in hard tissue and soft tissue laser dentistry. Hard tissue treatments include dental fillings, tooth sensitivity treatments and cavity detection. Soft tissue treatments include gum reshaping, gum surgery and muscle attachment improvements. Dr. La can also perform procedures such as removing benign oral tumors, regenerating nerves, treating sleep apnea and TMD and teeth whitening.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral camera provides a clear view of your oral health. Although X-rays provide valuable information, they don’t give a complete view of everything that is going on inside your mouth. With the use of an intraoral camera, we can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail, uncovering cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. When we can discover oral problems early, your treatment is much less invasive and much more cost-effective.

Our intraoral camera is small, about the size of the mirror we use during your regular hygiene appointments. The camera’s size allows our dentists to see every aspect of your smile that even X-rays cannot see. This tool will help you become more informed about your dental health, as it gives you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition, and it allows you to make a more informed decision regarding your treatment options.

Digital CT Imaging

Digital CT imaging allows our dentists the ability to provide quick, comfortable and effective dental imaging for the most precise dental health diagnosis possible. One 20-second scan provides enough data for a complete diagnosis with less radiation than traditional CT scanners with increased comfort. We can easily share the data with patients so they can make educated decisions on their course of treatment.

Digital CT Imaging Provides 3D Data For:

  • Dental implants
  • Wisdom teeth extractions
  • Impactions
  • TMJ treatment
  • Airway assessments and sleep apnea
  • Full facial and jaw 3D images

Digital Impressions

No more goop, gagging or discomfort to get an impression of your mouth. Using the latest in digital technology, Dr. La can take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth. This technology ensures a more accurate impression, a more comfortable patient experience and the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D.

Our digital impression scanner is a compact, hand-held wand that captures the structure of the teeth and gums using the latest optical technology. The scan is radiation-free and complete in as little as two to three minutes rendering a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures. Digital impressions improve communication during the consultation and treatment process and can be used for any restorative treatment, including crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, bridges, implants and Invisalign®.
