“I love seeing kids. They are little angels who bring joy to my challenging days.”

Dr. Le was among “the boat” people who escaped his native country of Vietnam, to come to America. After three years of staying in a make-shift refugee camp in Pulau Galang, Indonesia, Dr. Le was sponsored by a convent in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to have an opportunity of a lifetime to come to America. It was in one of the community dental clinics in Baton Rouge where the great profession of dentistry first touched Dr. Le’s life. The gentle and compassionate dentists from the community clinic helped restore his teeth and educated him on maintaining them.

Dr. Le and dentistry crossed paths once again on career day in high school in Fairfax, VA. A visiting dentist was kind enough to spend her time talking to him about how awesome it is to be a dentist. Perhaps that was the ah-ha moment for him as it ignited the passion for dentistry within him. Dr. Le has been pursuing dentistry ever since that day and has never looked back.

Dr. Le received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Virginia Commonwealth University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University, Washington, DC, as his class Treasurer. He later completed his residency at Hackensack Mountainside Hospital, in NJ, where he was a chief resident.

Early in his career development, Dr. Le was very fortunate to have his younger brother and mother be among his first patients. After being separated for more than twenty years, Dr. Le sponsored their move to America. Coming from a third-world country, his mother had many dental needs as well as dental phobia. Treating his mother taught him many critical and fundamental lessons about caring for his patients with dental anxiety and fear. Dr. Le strives to provide the same compassionate care to his patients. He has a goal to change the fearful public perception about dentistry, one patient at a time.

Dr. Le is a general dentist who enjoys performing ALL aspects of dentistry for patients of all ages. One of his patients even happens to be a centenarian. Dr. Le currently focuses on endodontics (root canal therapies) and oral surgeries (extractions, gum surgery, implants, etc.). He also loves seeing kids and refers to them as “little angels who bring joy to his challenging days”.

Dr. Le is currently pursuing his Fellowships in the American Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Implantology. Besides pursuing his passion in dentistry through continuing education, Dr. Le enjoys piano, yoga, working out, trips to the beaches with family and close friends, sightseeing in Washington, DC, and Billards. He is a team captain of a Billiards’ league in his current home town Washington, DC.
